Eleanor Koop, from Ham Lake, Minnesota, visited Picota, Peru with her family in July of 2023. She met many incredible people and had the opportunity to see the Lord through the eyes of the poor. Her favorite experience was praying with a group of children at a school in a small pueblo (town). To see the maturity in their faith and their love for the Lord at such a young age touched her deeply.

Eleanor will be starting her first year of college this year at the University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota. She will be continuing a few of her passions in college as she works towards a degree in Media Communications and Dramatic Arts. She is grateful to have the opportunity to use her interests and talents in communications with the Francis Institute as it allows her to contribute to work that’s meaningful and life changing and allows her to build relationships with people who are giving their lives to God and the poor. She looks forward to the growth and impact that can be achieved down this path and hopes to continue to provide fulfillment in the Lord's work.
